A Fishing Family

Long Point Bait & Tackle was established in 1996 when Dale and Michelle bought the store. Their love of fishing and local business gave them the opportunity to developed the store over the years into what it has become today - a local family run bait store that has a little something for everyone.

In 2002, Troy (the younger son) built an addition on to the bait store and Long Point Cafe' was born. For 18 years, Troy ran the cafe - serving up delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes.  In March of 2020, the Cafe' permanently closed due to CoVid-19 and after a few months of deliberating, Troy & Allison decided to go forward and take over the bait store (finally giving Dale & Michelle the opportunity to retire) and expand it into what was once the Cafe'.

1 chapter closed but a new and exciting future awaits!  The new space allows for more clothing, fishing apparel, accessories, rods, reels and more tackle!
